Cabin Fever

I think I've got cabin fever. I'm riding to work in the dark, riding home after work in the dark. Not much snow yet for skiing, all the Christmas plans and purchases are completed. It's tough spending all my daylight hours at work. My current favorite pastime is dreaming of next summer and what lies ahead. Here's looking forward to a New Year and many good trips!

Wishing all of you an excellent Christmas with good times and good friends!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all!

Cabin fever here as well! Riding 20 miles a day on my trainer is no picnic! 141 days until my TransAm start!!! Or is that re-start?!

Yes it certainly is ... and today is shaping up to be a beautiful day. The sun is shining, the birds are singing, the trees are in full leaf, and the early morning temperature is 16C with a high of 24C predicted.

Cabin Fever! No kidding! I've got some kind of itch right now...it doesn't go away unless my butt's in a bike saddle and my commute to work and back just isn't doing the trick...

Bikes: A slate grey mountain bike & a grey road bike

My riding has been cut back but I am planning a tour of Cape Cod for 2012 (my first in 2 years!) so that is keeping my spirits up. And, if it ever gets cold and we get some snow, the xc skis & snow shoes will come out.
Happy winter!

So take a little Christmas trip to someplace a little warmer.

Not much cabin fever here. I trail run 5 times a week so that keeps it at bay. Also I have a winter tour coming up (Southern Tier starting Feb 11).

Wishing everyone a great holiday season...

NZ/AU is definitely on my bucket list!

In western Oregon, it's not just the lack of daylight, but the rain too. It's been dry lately so that has been nice. I bought a 1200 lumen bicycle light so I have tried a few night rides. I hit a low traffic country road the other day with virtually no cars - heard an own and spotlighted a couple deer in a field. Enjoyed that! I'm looking forward to possibly seeing the sun this weekend as I'm stuck inside at work during the daylight hours.

Peddlenow - I notice you're from Salem too! Perhaps I'll see you on the road sometime!
