Do you happen to remember the name of the book that suggested sprouting while traveling? Thanks in advance.

Bikes: 2013 Surly Disc Trucker, 2004 Novara Randonee , old fixie , etc

The book Survival into the 21st Century had a couple paragraphs on sprouting while backpacking. The book is a little old but still much good info. Anyway they suggest taking a mix of things like mung bean, alfalfa seed, lentil, sunflower, fenugreek. One can soak the seeds in water overnight (in a plastic bag) & pour off water in the morning & then rinse the sprouting seeds once or twice a day. Haven't sprouted on the road but have done so at home, pretty ez. It might be a bit of a hassle on tour, OTOH the dry seeds are light & the sprouts have good vitamins, fiber etc. Alfalfa takes longer to develop than mung bean or lentil, it might help to put the alfalfa in a separate bag.
