Triple Crankset / Chainring Options

Hi,

I'm building a classic lugged steel touring bike. I'd like a classy, understated triple crankset like the Sugino XD600. However, I'd also like to setup my chainrings like 52/42/30 or 50/40/28. The Sugino XD600 has a 110 BCD which makes the larger chain rings kind of expensive. Are there better options for cranks considering the kind of chainrings I'm going for?

Thanks!

The Campagnolo Racing triple is a very nice Crankset with 52, 42 and 30 chainrings.

I recently installed a new SR Suntour Superbe triple with 52, 42 and 30 chainrings. It shifts well and looks great. These are hard to find, however.

When I was 30 or 40 yrs. younger I could get away with gearing like that. These days I have gotten 94/58 cranks from e-Bay and run rings of 20-32-42 with a 12-36 9 spd cluster.
