That's funny! When I was a lad back in '75, my parents bought a VW campervan with a pop top. That's where the parents stayed. The 4 kids got to sleep in the tent that was attached in the raingutter above the sliding door. It was an option that VW offered and it made sense. But that VW tent is cool-and so is its buddy on the left.
Thanks!

This is kind of interesting, so far two people have chimed in who use both a tent and a hammock on tour.

I myself take a hammock and a tent. Right now a Grand Trunk Skeeter beater, and a Eureka Zuess II. With a light tarp this brings everything to about 4.5 pounds. On my last trip I used them both, slightly favoring the tent for campgrounds. The hammock was great for wild camping and when I thought a faster morning breakdown would be nice.

To the OP, I am not recommending the Zeus, I like it, but its not for everyone, as a single wall with condensation issues. It did stay driest on the rainiest night though, cause there was a strong wind, gusts to about 45 mph or so. Air flow kept it very dry despite heavy rain.

here it is on a trip last year. Including this so the op can see a single wall with clips. This worked very well this last tour, cause one of my poles broke while I was dragging it around one morning. Stopped at a hardware store and got one foot of 1/2 inch pvc and one foot of 3/4 as a temporary fix. Since I did not have to run it through a sleeve it was easier, and survived the storms well.
