This is kind of interesting, so far two people have chimed in who use both a tent and a hammock on tour.
I myself take a hammock and a tent. Right now a Grand Trunk Skeeter beater, and a Eureka Zuess II. With a light tarp this brings everything to about 4.5 pounds. On my last trip I used them both, slightly favoring the tent for campgrounds. The hammock was great for wild camping and when I thought a faster morning breakdown would be nice.
To the OP, I am not recommending the Zeus, I like it, but its not for everyone, as a single wall with condensation issues. It did stay driest on the rainiest night though, cause there was a strong wind, gusts to about 45 mph or so. Air flow kept it very dry despite heavy rain.
here it is on a trip last year. Including this so the op can see a single wall with clips. This worked very well this last tour, cause one of my poles broke while I was dragging it around one morning. Stopped at a hardware store and got one foot of 1/2 inch pvc and one foot of 3/4 as a temporary fix. Since I did not have to run it through a sleeve it was easier, and survived the storms well.
