Ortlieb Bike Packer Plus
I got the Ortlieb Bike Packer Plus to go along with my Ortlieb Panniers. It is not bad as a backpack.
The issue I am having is converting back and forth. The clips on the backpack side don't want to come out of the pannier very easy. It was stiff enough the last time I though it was going to break them trying to get them out. Anyone find a solution? Do they get easier with wear? Thanks |
<Guess> dont own the whole Identical kit .. just 3 sets of the panniers
the inserts you need for the rack are tight around the back pack adapter pad kit ? or you don't pull the release strap quite enough .. Or |

I don't use mine very often, but I never broke the clips. They get pretty tight though. I mostly use the shoulder strap, as it's much easier to pack around on the bike since I leave it attached to the bag, just tuck it out of the way so it doesn't get in my spokes. If I was carrying the pack more than a few blocks I might change my mind.

I have a set of Bike Packer Plus panniers and I cannot figure out what the OP is talking about. He got them to go with his Ortlieb panniers? They ARE Ortlieb panniers. He uses it/them (?) as a backpack? How do you do that? Mine came with shoulder straps that simply clip on. What clips? What is "the backpack side?"

Thanks. The part about buying the Bike Packer Plus to go with his panniers didn't make any sense to me. Now I get it. He got the backpack system to turn (presumably) a Bike Packer Plus into a backpack.

ah the bottom of the bag plastic edge guard , is where the bottom of the carry system snap goes ..

http://www.ortliebusa.com/prodInfo.asp?pid=205&cid=2 If they had a fabric loop, the bag would attach to the pack system the same as the bike. So far I can not recommend this setup, ....but I am glad I spent the money to try it out. I should be able to ride with the pack system on my back (weighs nothing), then put the pannier on it when I get to the museum (end destination). If you are looking to do some serious Krav Maga, this system will not work for you....Get a pack that sticks to you and forget about the pannier. |
tell the company say via
