Someone passed me very closely witth no warning on a different section. I thought "Will all this space out here and no one else in sight, why?" I also nearly had to pull off the trail to avoid a head on thanks to a group of people whose members apparently had some medical condition that prevented them from seeing that there was at least one other trail user. Or maybe they were just incosiderate.

When we rode the GAP last summer the steepest hills were off the trail, the climb up to Frostburg, the climb from Meyersdale up to the trail. The steepest climb I remember on the trail were the ramps up to the bridges that cross the train tracks outside of Pittsburgh, you find these ramps all the time on MUP & rail-trails, they are short.
