Bikes are ready!

Both bikes, LHT"S, got a tune up last week along with new tubes and I finished the trekking bar install and bar wrap on mine. Also installed a extra cyclo-computer I had on my wife's bike. I do need some bar end plugs for my trekking bars but the stock ones seem too large to fit. I my turn a pair out of wood on my lathe. Help keep the bugs out!

Sounds like the weather may be turning for the better. If you are still thinking of taking the GAP and are on Facebook, you might want to check their page in early April in case there is a prediction about the opening of the Big Savage Tunnel. Last year they posted some photos from that year's official opening. An alternative is the official web site, which has a recent news page.

We are still planning on riding the C&O & GAP. Plan to get to Big Savage about April 17th.. I have been watching their FB page.
Sure wish it would warm up!

The general trend in the northeast for this weekend and next week is warmer. Tonight we are supposed to get a dustuing of snow that won't stick due to the temps. But tomorrow they are predicting wind chills in the teens.

Yeah, I made 2 of them. I was tired leaning them against a wall in the shop.
I have thought about making them for sale.Maybe when we get back from our tour.
