First Tour Complete - West Texas
Hey everyone, have not been on BF in awhile.
Just wanted to post a link and a note to my first tour. I know there was a thread for 2014 tours but could not find it...
Here is the link to my journal.
crazyguyonabike.com: Bicycle Touring: Three Guys in West Texas - "Tom's Ride", by Richard Cavin
I posted the journal over a month after the tour due to several reasons, which are noted in the journal.
Just some notes about my tour. If I can do a tour after a couple years of taking up cycling almost anyone can with the right planning, equipment and training.
It won't be my last tour if I have anything to do with it. So if you're "thinking" of doing your first tour in the future just read my journal, it's something you'll never forget. Hope you enjoy the read.
Richard

I am glad you had a good tour. Thanks for sharing. Your journal brought back memories of when I rode through there on the ST. I really enjoyed the food and the people there. The scenery not so much.
