Scandinavia Tour-(Chasing) Dogs?

Hey guys,
I created some topics about overnighting in Denmark a long time ago. Now,things going well and its looking like I'll be ready for my tour in 2016 Summer.

I'm from Turkey. And,there are stray dogs around here. So,riding bike is a bit tedious while they are chasing you.As I heard, and read on the internet, there are no stray dogs in Northern Europe.Actually I'm wondering this situation for my Denmark,Norway and Iceland tours. If you've ever ridden a bike around these countries, can you tell me,have you ever encountered chasing dogs while you are riding?(No matter stray or pet) Is it often thing or rare in thigs countries?

Thanks all...

Bikes: A bunch of old bikes and a few new ones

I've never been chased by a dog in Scandinavia. YMMV. You're more likely to have problems with the wet and cold weather they sometimes have in that part of the world during the summer or the mosquitoes than anything on 4 legs.

There are no stray dogs in Denmark and domesticated dogs must always be under control or on leash in towns and cities and in the country owners have to make sure that their dogs are not straying. On top of that are all aggressive dog types outlawed.
You can have a small fright when suddenly a dog barks at you behind a garden hedge but it will be fenced in.

Thank you all for that nice answers.I'm planning to travel around 20-25 days to travel most of(I hope) the country(I'll mostly ride in Jutland and Zealand) .So I'll have a long time on roads. That's nice to hear that.In Turkey,if you're going a trip with bike, you likely encounter with dogs
Any information about Iceland and Scotland?

I had no problems with dogs in Scotland, either. (You didn't mention Scotland in your 1st post, but rather Norway.)

Thank you so much @axolotl.So I'll be relaxed in Norway,Denmark and Scotland while riding bike You're right I forgot to ask about Scotland on the first post.Actually I'm interested in Northern Europe nature, and the best way to see almost all beauties is touring by bike. So,only two countries left that I'm still wondering about dogs.If anybody knows about Iceland and Ireland, please let me know.Thank you all.
