I just scored a sweet aluminum custom frameset by Marin. (my first track-specific bike, since I can't afford to drop $10,000.00 for that CF Look!)
At our track, some of the best riders ride aluminum!
If it's good for Milwalkee
, it's good enough for me...seriously,though my opinion has changed
toward use of aluminum for the track. So...what's your flavor "beer can"?Post pics!

(not my bike...I'll post pics after the buildup!)

Just grabbed a NOS 1003 Fji Track Pro. Will post pix of it once I get it put together/upgraded..

Should start something like this

EDIT: It arrived...Wowsers, I LIKE IT!!! Has a couple of chips on the chainstays from shipping..smells a little and has a film of dirt on it(it is a 2003). Those handlebars are light...but UGLY.

Nice bike, ZC. Some of the fastest guys fly on that same bike. ( At least at Dick Lane).
Imagine red Deep V in the front, and a full Fir disc rear, plus aero bladed seatpost.

I don't actually like the black parts, so am looking to do chrome stem and bars(maybe Nitto) and blue grips(more of a blue guy than red..), picked up a DA "aero" seatpost.

I would love to get a disk for rear, but right now going to stick with stock wheels.
