Ambrosio Riva Frameset
Ive become fairly interested in making a trackbike... for the track. Ive been riding fixed on the street and feel like im pretty good at it. (not that it translates to the track though).
Anywho, came across this frameset -
https://www.velodromeshop.org.uk/inde...product&id=922
https://www.velodromeshop.org.uk/inde...product&id=923
- and the price seems fairly attractiv. It look alot like a Dolan Track Champ although the headtube angle seems slightly slack. I asked the sales department at the shop and they say it comes with a 75 degree angle on a 60 cm frame (which im going for), and they called it "standard track geometri". Weight is about 1800g (frame alone maybe?). Full carbon fork(drilled), headset and seatpost comes in the price and is all made by Ambrosio.
Ive heard good stuff from there wheelmaking skills so i suppose they might actually know what their doing.
I want to be able to take it to the streets once in a while. Forexsample when getting to and from the track. The drilled fork makes me able to fit a brake aswell (and take it off for the track). Im slighty concerned about weight since its a bit hilly around here and anything helps.
So what are your thoughts on this? Thumphs up or down?
Sorry for my english, I'm from Denmark.
Cheers
