weight training & running
weight training & running during same session what do you do 1st? and why?
I did this for the 1st time in years last night and for some reason I thought the weight training first was a good idea. seemed like it all worked out fine. plus I was less sweaty on the machines and mats than if I ran first. if I ran first I think I would want to change my shirt and cool down before hitting the weights and body weight stations

bottom line is priority first though.
If you're a competiive runner doing quality work you're not going to want heavy leg work first.

thanks, current reading concurs with you both, do wutz important to you first.
ideally tho, I'll keep separating them by 1/2day of time, meaning 1 mid day & the other at the end of the day.
now if only I can get a 3rd session in the morning before work, like I used to swim in 2009-10. man those were the days

Always dark, often snowing, temp down to below zero F.
Proving I was tuff enuff motivated me.
Now that its above freezing and starting to get light I'm struggling not to backslide.
ps - starting in the dark and riding through dawn is cool

Yeah, I only do a 1 hour VT1 roller ride before weights, no more. So that's an hour of each, or a total TSS of around 90. Weights, last sets to failure. It's enough for me.
