Training program specific question (Kinomap)

Sorry if this is the wrong place for this.

I see on Kinomap, route trophies given for Kinos.

Here's the problem. Someone can do a route say in 1 hour and have something like 1200 Kinos. Yet another person can do the route in 45 minutes and only get 800 Kinos.

I know it's joules/wattage or something but I can't wrap my head around this. It seems that the more powerful person pumping out more wattage/kinos would always complete the course in faster time. Yet the Kinos seem to be somehow opposite or different.

Can anyone explain this to me? Thanks.
