Greetings Everyone!
I am 66 years old (Male) and started to train on a road bike in December. Spent the winter in Gulf Shores Alabama (snowbird) and trained 5 days a week and worked myself and my girlfriend up to 175 miles per week in the end (March 5th) before we left, avg 14 mph!
My question is, are we overdoing it? And, is 5x a week too much? I plan on resuming training here in Michigan once the weather gets decent! P.S. Nothing like falling in love with biking, I'm addicted now!

Heck, 5 times a day isn't too much. If you overdo it, you'll know because no matter how hard you pedal, the bike just won't go. Or you'll be grabbing a bigger cog than you usually use for that road or hill or whatever. If that happens, just back off for a couple days and your strength will come back. Otherwise, you're good to go.
