Hip labral tear?
Hi. I've had pretty bad hip pain for a while now. I finally had an MRI and was told that I have a labral tear. I'm going to be referred for arthroscopic surgery. (I haven't spoken with the surgeon yet.) I'm really freaking out. All this time I thought I had bursitis or tendonitis - something that can eventually get better. From the internet research I've done, labral tears do not heal. Has anyone out there been diagnosed with a hip labral tear?

I think thats what Alex Rodriguez of the Yankees had. I think he had surgery. He's due back on the team in a week or 2. You might want to google him to get some info.
