Weight Loss and Tastebuds

Have any of you experienced this? About a year ago I made a lifestyle change and started eating healthier and exercising. This inevitably led to an obsession in cycling and eating right.

Over the past year, I feel my tastebuds have changed a little. I could never stomach the taste of chocolate...especially dark chocolate, now I love it. I used to think yogurt tasted like rotten milk, now I am eating one as I type this. There have been several foods that now taste good to me that I couldn't stand before my weight loss.

Have any of you gone through this same thing. I just kinda thought about it this morning as I was sitting here eating a Yoplait Whips.

Yes. There are some fruits I absolutely love the taste of now that used to taste normal/regular before. Some things also taste differently now.

That's not uncommon at all, It's kind of like the smoker who after quitting is amazed at how much better food taste & smells. When you quit or really cut back on all the fatty, salty & processed foods your taste will improve. I went through a similar thing 3 years ago when I made a concerted effort to eat better. Now I eat foods that I never would have thought to eat & always seek out new, healthier foods to try.
