Yes, I've diluted my Gatorade ... I used to use the Gatorade powder so I could add as much or as little as I want. It's the sugar in Gatorade that does it to me.

And a bottle of 100% pure orange juice in the middle of a ride is wonderful!! It just hits the spot!

Does sugar help me produce all the electrolytes I need?
It's good to get electrolytes while you exercise, but most people will get enough with the food that they eat.

If, however your diet is low in salt and/or you are a "salty sweater", electrolytes are more important. As you get to the century distance and beyond, you may need electrolytes supplementation, especially if the weather is warm.

Endurolytes may work for you if you don't lost that much salt, but salty sweaters will need more salt than hammer products provide.

Just in case you thought that was horrible, before that I used orange juice distilled in water (!!!).
Do you mean 'diluted with'?

machka sounds liek your allergic haha. I love gatorade, it works great for me and keeps me goin at the 3 hour+ mark. I like the taste but it does make my spit a bit thick, probably because of the sugar. But its worth it for me i just gargle some water real quick and it clears up the thickish spit. Why so hard on the gatorade hahaha.
