Starbucks Vivanno
What do you guys think of it? Please leave the "Starburnt is teh evil" out of it.
I drank it twice; it was okay, but there's just something about Starbucks and "healthy" smoothies that bothers me; I can't put my finger on it exactly...
Though I'm unsure of who puts CHOCOLATE (probably milk chocolate since most people wouldn't like true dark chocolate) in a fruit smoothie, but it seems to work for them...
Jamba Juice FTW

Also they are not using chocolate milk, just cocoa powder.

The Jamba smoothies have a ton of sugar. I always find myself adding 2-3 Omega-3 boosts (comes with 7 grams of psyllium fiber per boost) in hopes it eases the insulin spike.

I had the one that wasn't chocolate banana and it was really, really tasty. Of course it was a hot day and the girl I have secretly been in love with from afar for five years was behind the counter, so it may have been mud and I would have loved it. I'll probably try the chocolate banana soon. The one I had was better than many smoothies I've had.

I'm going to try the Jamba smoothies with the fiber boosters. I'm surprised that they have so much sugar, since I make them at home for breakfast using the same recipe, and it's not a lot of sugar.

A better bet is Smoothy King if a franchise is near you. Their Gladiator smoothie comes in with very low simple carbs and 45 grams of protein. Other smoothies there will up the carbs for those in energy need. My son is a hip, blackshirted Starbucks barrista.....and reports that many of their drinks (especially their short-term special drinks) are way heavy on sugar and fat-- no surprize.

ps the recipie is nothing more than banana, unsweetened cocoa powder, whey protein, and milk (for the choconana ones) the mango ones are whey protein, banana, and Naked Juice. either way, they are both fairly straight forward on the ingredients. i find it hard to believe myself being that Starbucks is anything but healthy, but they did a pretty good job keeping these recipies down to bare minimal ingredients without crap additives like hersheys syrup for chocolate, etc.
