Roller Training Advice
My cycling club has a roller league for the winter months where we race over 500m and 1500m in the winter months.
Currently I'm winning but my success has worried a few of the fitter/skinnier members and I need to make sure I keep winning. Apart from sticking to my beer and pie diet what else can I do.
My current exercise regime is this
Commute to work (2miles each way * 5)
Thursday ride (30 miles @ 18mph)
Sunday ride (50 miles @12mph)
Gym (1-1.5hr 3x a week)
In the gym I've been using the horizontal leg press machine and using the cross trainer on high resistance. I can't make any of the spin classes and the stationary bikes have stupid girly saddles which are impossible to use.
Any suggestions so that a fat lad keeps beating skinny racers?

what are the rules of the league? gear restrictions?
most of the leagues are gear-restricted, so it comes down to top-end leg speed. that's one of those things that can be trained, but some people just have more than others.

88 gear inches is the gearing we use.
What we're finding is that most people can't keep a constant pace for the entire distance and tend to flag at the end.
