Anyone used a Powerbreathe thingy?

Hi. When I was into freediving, some people raved about those Powerbreathe lung-training things you use to increase lung capacity and the power of breathing muscles. I've searched the forums here but can't find any mention of them. Has anyone found one beneficial for cycling? I have a couple of friends who seem to have more breath left for chatting when climbing hills than I do (it's very annoying!), even though they seem to be working at about the same effort level. I do get mild asthma, which I prevent before a ride by taking an inhaler shot, but I wonder if it has weakened my breathing slightly. Would it be worth buying one of these devices?

Thanks, Bryan

Bikes: Scapin EOS7 sloping, 10v Record, Ksyriums

Waste of money. Train more and spend your cash on kit or food.

Lung capacity isn't normally a limiter in cycling. <it's usually about your body's ability to absorb the O2 into your blood> Therefore, this device will not help you.
