Anyone else play video games on the trainer?
Not sure if this is posted in the right section or not.
But I've grown bored of watching the morning news, movies, ect. So, I've tried playing my xbox on my trainer and have actually found that it works perfectly and that I can keep a solid 155 bpm pace for a good 1-2 hours. While gaming with my friends from across the nation on xbox live.
Was just curious if anyone else does this as well? Or if anyone has any other different ways of distracting yourself on the trainer.

I've never used a stationery type of bicycle, and don't expect to. But if I did, I'd probably read ****** on the laptop for entertainment.

No. I hate the trainer and use it for intense intervals in an attempt to make it more enjoyable by killing myself. Base miles are outside, an easy thing to do here in Colorado.

If you are doing anything on the trainer other than concentrating on your technique, you are screwing up. Expanding on that thought, it is well known that when one is working, as soon as one thinks, "Wow, I'm doing OK at this," one has just screwed up. Concentration on the task at hand is the whole point. Ask any yogi. Mindfulness. You don't need a mantra. If this is not true for you, you are sloughing way off.

I discovered exactly that this year. With distractions my mind wanders and I fail to hit my workout goals. No tv. No iPod. Just a fan and a bike computer.
I suppose a few friends are encouraged that I leave the iPod at home on rides nowadays but it isn't for safety.
