Sensitivity

I have suffered from knee pain - pes anserine bursitis and hamstring tendonitis (outer side of knee) - and with taking the time to dial in a pain free ride bike fit and stretching I am doing much, much better. However, my knees are now very sensitive to when longer shorts brush up against them, or even thicker pants - mostly on the outsides of the knees but also at the front and insides at times. This is not a throbbing pain but more of a stinging twinge when the clothes brush/rub against them. Has anyone had similar experiences or know what this could be? Thanks.
