Just wanted to brag....
I finished my first Sprint Tri this weekend and accomplished my 2 goals: first, I didn't walk at all during the runs, second I made it up a big hill that I had never been able to make it up b/f. Had pretty decent times, I finished about mid pack in the race and age group.
The 500m swim was taken out and replaced by 2 mile run b/c of unsafe water conditions so it was run-bike-run, but I have another Sprint Tri in May and am very psyched about it.

Woohoo! Congrats. In my book, a 2 mile run replacing a 500m swim is NOT equal, so good on ya for running both legs.

Thanks.
Yeah, it was a good one, but I'd have liked to have tried the swim b/c I think that's my weakest event. Guess we'll find out in May.

I agree w/H2O chick, I would much rather swim than run the 2 miles. Great job!!

well plus, a 500m swim is like 8-9 minutes....2 miles...a bit more, so the swim you would have had a faster time.

Duathlons are hard. Especially if you show up not knowing you'll be running twice. Good job.
