Vision Tech Aero Bars & Profile AeroDrink Bottle
I just got a cervelo p2 sl with vision tech aero bars. will a profile aerodrink bottle fit on these bars? if so, do i need to the profile aerodrink bracket?
do you think this set up is more aero then regular cages and water bottles?

Is it the integrated bar setup? If so then you will most probably need the bracket. (I have the Vision Tech integrated bars and use a Jetstream bottle, and this doesn't fit without modifications to keep it in place)
More aero in that you continue to drink in the aero position without having to move your hands and with the straw nearly poking you in the face the bonus is you may drink more...

Yes, you need the bracket. Since there is only one cage mount on the frame, you need another bottle...it's either this or one of those Xlab things that launches your bottles when you go over big bumps.

FYI, the XLab doesn't launch waterbottles...crappy cages do. I've been using the XLab and the streets around my city are absolutely terrible. I have yet to lose a bottle, which I give all the credit to my cages.
I also use the Profile aerobottle w/bracket and love it. I use the rubber bands to provide even more support. I also recommend putting a piece of foam in the top instead of the yellow spongey thing. The bumps will cause your sticky sports drink of choice to splash on your cool bike glasses.

Which cages do you use? I was thinking that the Profile Design ones looked like the kept the best hold but I'm not sure. Everyone I know who has an Xlab launches their bottles at least once per ride...and they all have different cages.

The profile designs I've seen have the rubber on the inside, which provide grip and seem to work pretty good. On my MTB, I used to lose bottles on a pretty regular basis riding in Phoenix. I have Specialized Rib Cages(15 bux at Scheels), which have a rubber piece for retention. These are the cages I use for my MTB, too. I have never lost a bottle MTB or road w/these. Now I probably will...thanks, cjbruin!

I just got my P2 SL this week. I haven't taken it out yet, but plan on it next week. It has been sitting in my apartment just waiting for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I added my profile aero-drink with bracket yesterday from my old bike.

$1840, it was 20% off b/c it was a '05. My parents helped take some off of that for my birthday. I have been saving since before I started triathlon, and I finally found a good use for some of it.

I have a p2 sl, and I also have the profile design aero bottle. My aero bars are close enough together that I just jam the bottle inbetween, then use the 2 included rubber bands to wrap the bottle to the bars. I didn't get the bracket. So, no, you don't HAVE to get the bracket.
