less body weight, better results....

Hello all, i think too much these days about my body weight , 1,75cm and 83kg , my best weight was 76kg before and ironman, never lower than that, of course i know if i can reduce my body fat, and my kg i can run better and cycling better, but its a big sacrifice for me to have a diet, when i started a diet only do for 1 week or less, its a terrible sacrifice, meaby its mental, because i really want to be fit to have better sensation in race/training...
Meaby you have something similar?
sometimes i feel motivated i do, but when im sad thigs change and i would like to eat anything, im not a profesional but of course i would like if i can , to reduce my weight to have better feelings in my sport the triathlon.

thanks.

I'm in the same boat I love to eat and I don't have the discipline to diet. I just exercise more and lift weights to increase muscle mass both will help you burn fat, although the with weight training you may not loose weight but you will decrease your body fat making you feel and perform better. Just make shure to drink lots of water, which will keep you healthy and helps burn fat.

just curious where are you from?

I love Canary Island! Great cigars!

Instead of dieting - eat more protein, less fat. When you eat carbohydrates - eat them in conjunction with protein, so that it will not become fat. Lift weights, and work out - you will lose weight.

Don't cut your calories too much or your body will eat its own muscle instead of fat! Also - if you are careful to keep your workouts aerobic instead of anaerobic, you will burn more fat.

Power to Weight ratio

there is a point at which weight loss is a negative...Too much loss = weakness. If you starve the body it will crave that which is missing...Healthy, strong go with how you feel & look verse simple pounds...the extra weight if it keeps you healthy will in no way hinder your power output..I am a large guy who is skinny at 175lbs... when on my game most small guys cannot touch me on the bike..During the runs however I get smoked.

Don't worry about "a diet" I've lost over 70 lbs in the past years and I've never been on a so called diet. All you have to do is eat smart, drink lots of water, and train. It's honestly that simple.
