Du Not. Tri or Tri not. There is no Du. :)

So after hemming and hawing about whether I was ready to swim in a Tri, I went out today and swam a nice, smooth 400. Not sure what the time was, but it's good enough.

So, instead of signing up for the duathlon version of the Cape Henlopen Tri, I've decided what the hell--I'll give the Tri a shot. I might end up DFL but who cares. It'll give me something to work on over the winter.

Way to go. I think you'll really enjoy it. For some reason, I feel awesome at the end of almost every tri I do, and I feel beat up at the end of du's. Not sure why, but I think the swimming has something to do with it.

Doc. With your fitness level, there is no way that you will be DFL. The swim is no big deal and you will pass lots of people on the bike and run.

Enjoy your first tri!

I think you're overestimating my fitness level, but we'll see. It should be fun either way. Yay, wetsuits.

You will be fine Doc. Like the man said you will make up your time on the bike and the run. I was cruising on the bike in my first sprint and I had no Areo bars or helmet. Just rode my Tarmac. Had LOTS of fun...
