In my best Peter Boyle as Frank Barone voice, "Holy Crap!"
He is giving the other athletes a reason to pick up the pace and pass him !

I don't know what would be more embarrassing, THAT or a DNF....

There's a pic of Tom Boonen with a similar problem. I suppose you need to not care about minutiae if you want to win.

dude........when your stomach starts rumbling that bad in a race...its time to pull over and let it out.
NOTHING is that important to pass up.

Reminds me of a run I did one night. I usually do my training runs at night. Anyway...I guess dinner didnt sit well and about 3 miles into my run my stomach starts rumbling...I try and push past it...next thing you know I am farting every step...then I break out into a cold sweat and realize that I am not going to make it home, and/or any place with a restroom. So...I start searching for a place to "download". By this time I have stopped running as every move feels like my sphincter will open and release everything... I find a completely dark area next to an apartment complex, away from the street lights.... walk swiftly over and let it go...about 5 minutes goes by and I am fully relieved...then I realize I need to wipe....so... i scoot forward... yank off my socks and left those "behind" as well. Needless to say... I turned around and RAN home.
