Bathroom on Half Ironman
I can finish Olympic distances w/ no problems w/ having to use the bathroom IF I go right before the swim starts.......But I am doing my first Half IM in August, and I absolutely know at somepoint during the ride or run I am going to have to "go". Do Half and Full distances have "rest areas" along the way? I am doing the Boulder 5430 to be specific.
Thanks!
Thanks!

And let me add....I'm talking about taking a leak. #2 is always taken care of before the race w/ no problems. I tend to drink some gatorade and an NO Shotgun (10oz drink) before the race, and I've got a feeling it'll catch up to me before I finish.

Some do and some don't. I think most of the ones I have done have port-a-potties on the course. But it's generally easy to find some trees or someplace to go along the way.

Every half and full IM I've done has had porta-potties on the run course. Best case is if they are in T2 before you cross the timing mat. That way it doens't screw up your run split

I'm doing that race as well.
I did it two years ago and there were port-a-potties in the transition area as well as a couple along the run. I spent the last 10 miles of the bike route going *really* fast because I *really* had to pee but there was no way I was stopping on the bike leg. Since it is a two loop route for the run, by the time you might need it on the second lap, you'll know about where they are.
