Should I get a Tri-Suit or a Wet-Suit?

I've already done my third triathlon, and have been training for 2 years now as well as multiple bike races & 5K's, but I'm looking to improve my time with a tri or wet suit. What would you guys suggest? I'm in the north, so no coastal warm oceans or warm lakes. The temperatures of the tri's I've been in have been 75, 73, and 72. Opinions please!

Well a tri suit is what you wear as your clothes for the race UNDER the wetsuit. And being a user of both I highly recommend them. The wetsuit makes your swim easier by helping you float and glide through the water. The Tri suit underneath has some padding for the bike, its tight so it doesn't whip around in the wind, and you don't have to worry about clothing changes or anything in transition.

agree with above, get both. Trisuit is probably a higher priority for you, but look for a deal, pay the money for a wetsuit.

Get a tri wetsuit; will improve swim times by minutes.
Are those your water temps? Those are warm.

Yeah they are. So they make wet suits with a chamois? I thought wet-suits were made of rubber-ish materials? That'd be really ucomfortable to run and ride in!

The wet suit is rubber... the tri suit youd wear underneath has a pad in it but its small so you can ride in comfort, but run as well.

Tri suit: for running and riding

Is dorky and identifies you as a triathlete.

Triathlon wetsuit: I think this is what you're asking about.

Comes in a myriad of styles, arms, legs, etc. Will make you swim faster. Will make your swim/bike transition slower.
