is there ANYWHERE I can get a set of the old unidisc wheelcovers they used to have so you could cheaply make your regular wheels into a sort of disc wheels? I have a classic funny bike I would love to outfit with some of those just for the nostalgia if anything

I presume you know about the cut-to-fit wheel covers available (and highly thought of) from wheelbuilder.com
I would imagine the old Unijets crop up from time to time on eBay. I f you are registered on eBay you can set up a periodic search function where it will alert you if anything comes online matching that item description.

hmm I haven't heard about that auto search function...
haha I wish I could post a photo but right now the bike is in pieces. I got it for $150 and unfortunately the paint is in really bad shape so I disassembled it last night and am going to prep it for new paint one of these days... not really in any hurry though

I have bought the wheelbuilder things (fit them onto my 52mm carbon wheelset). they work! (weight +350g ca.)
