Finished my first Tri this past weekend
It was a reverse order sprint (3.1 mile trail run/6 mile bike/400m pool swim). Did reasonably well on the run, had a fairly strong bike leg, but I am a terrible swimmer. Finished in 1:05 overall. Regardless, I had a blast and have already signed up for my second one, which is a regular order sprint (400m open water swim/24k bike/5k run). I plan to focus more on swimming over the next three weeks in hopes of improving my time in that part of the tri.
Hopefully, after getting a few more sprints under my belt, I can move up to Olympic distance next year.

Sweet deal. Splits to post?
A trail run sounds sweet...we definitely don't have any of those here. All flat, dry, windy, open road. My first is in 3 weeks; feeling pretty stoked. I don't know what you've done, but 2 months ago I couldn't swim 10 meters. I've been on my own with a few great books, and can put out my 400 without dying. It took being in the pool for 30 minutes per day, 6 days per week...more time in the water, and someone to critique should help you a lot!
Best of luck for the next one!
