Going to be spending a month in Sheffield, renting bikes/where to bike?
Hi all,
I'm going to be traveling to Sheffield (specifically the University of Sheffield.) later this summer and I had a few questions.
Is it possible to do a long term bike rental for the duration of my time there(3 weeks), or should I just try to borrow a bike? (Long term rentals seem to be a thing, according to a 5 minute google search.)
Is there any "mountain biking" around the city that I could easily get to/that I would have fun doing? Alternatively, which roads should I try to ride for fun?
Anything I should know about biking in/around Sheffield?
Anything I should try to do while I'm there? (I'm pretty sure I'm not ALLOWED to work on weekends, so I'll definitely have those free.) I'm not a huge fan of all of the touristy stuff, although if I could incorporate a bike ride in with the touristy stuff, that'd be great.
I think the people I'm going to be working with are... well... not bikers/runners. Let's just leave it at that.
