Motorcycle cover on a MinUte?

I have a kona MinUte. Nice bike. I'd lie to use it more but it's a huge PITA to drag in and out of the house. If I could leave it outside it would be great, but I don't have a garage or useful shed. I was thinking maybe a small motorcycle or scooter cover would do the trick. Have an of you ever used a cover like that as a storage solution?

I used motorcycle covers on my motorcycles. They work fine, aren't much more trouble than it was to lock the motorcycles (I used heavy duty cables and locks, just enough to discourage opportunistic thieves and keep honest people honest). The cables looped through openings in the cover skirts.

Never tried covers on a bicycle. Don't see why it wouldn't work.

I use a bike cover for when I have to leave my bike for short periods with no one to watch it. It keeps the rain off but more importantly keeps eyes off too. Out of sight, out of mind? I hope so. You can find covers on ebay for $8 to $80. My cover fits snuggly over 4 panniers and a bar bag and I have used it as a sleeping bag cover a few times for a quick nap in the rain.
