Plastic Chain ring

Hello All,
I was looking at the chain ring on my WC FR8 today and its Plastic. Does anyone know how they wear? I hope it will hold up for the long term.

Sure its not just a plastic trouser cuff guard,? those break and they only come with a new crank arm set.

unless you find one someone removed, before it broke..

The chain rings them selves are metal.

Uh no its the chain ring. It has teeth and the chain around it. The chain guard is a large plastic piece that totally covers the chain and the ring.

Got any pictures? That just seems bizarre that a Workcycles (or any bike) would have a plastic chainring.

Think about replacing the whole thing to use on your bike. plastic seems dumb, even on belt drive cogwheels.
