cool. Still, considering what jerks a small minority of motorists can be; it still might not be enough warning.

Followed the leader and bought four of those Serfas. Put 2 on my Dummy last night. Impressive output! Two more will be attached once my racks come in today....

Hey dude...your BikeRubbish site is driving my motivation to tinker with the Goat. It's not just your rockin' photos. It's the photos of HOW you're using the bikes. Work, hot dates with the Mrs. Very cool, man, very cool.

And I'm working on a site now...will be a while, but...it's coming.

Always happy to hear I'm adding a little stoke to bikeland The actual use stuff has been suffering lately because of rain and camera incompatibility. Sun came out yesterday and hopefully will stick around so I'll have shots of more than just stuff sitting in our driveway, yard, garage, ahah

Get working on that site- bikeland can use every bit of stoke it can get and you can supply plenty from the looks of it

Speaking of hot dates- last night was a good one

Snapped the housing on one of the Serfas tonight. Now I'm down to three...guess I need to reinstall and wrap 'em with Rescue Tape.

I was going to mention that you reinforce those housings with some velcro or other just to be on the safe side. Sorry I forgot about it. I had a couple break too. Wrapped em up in velcro and haven't had a problem since. Just email serfas and they will ship you out replacements. I asked for 4 extra ones just in case(for future possible breakage) and they sent them without even batting an eye.

"I did not see him", is the first lie they think of. Being a lie, no amount of lights is going to make any difference. The fact is that the truth "I was paying no attention to my driving" is never going to be admitted. A headlight and a decent rear reflector is adequate for being seen if the driver is paying attention, and a million candle power strobe isn't if he isn't. So put all those lights on if you like lights, but never think they will protect you or should be the law.

They should be the law if you are riding during darkness. I don't know about 4 like this, or the multiple blinkies that I run... But there are a lot of ninja cyclists (rear reflector only) in my area. When I'm in the cage going to work I am always on the lookout for them because I know they ride the same route I do when I commute on the T2000.

I can tell a blinkied cyclist is up ahead from like a mile away, literally. Reflectors bring that distance down to hundreds of feet, at best.

I agree that if someone is totally in their own world and not driving safely that 100000 lights won't prevent them from hitting you, but they sure get a lot more attention than a reflector (which is easy to miss along with all of the driveway reflectors, parked car reflectors, reflective signs, etc, etc)

In other words, you are dead wrong. A blinkie attracts more attention than a reflector by far. What I want is to attract attention. If I am so well lit and strobing from behind that I get every driver who comes up behind me to say "WHAT THE HELL IS THAT" I know they know I'm there, at least.

And when a driver sees my light, they begin to say, "There are bikes on this road." Maybe then they will be on the look out for you, the rider ahead of me.

I can't speak for everyone, but I know that ever since we went overboard on lights, there's never even been a close call. People give us all kinds of room. The only hazard to these lights so far is not being able to stop anywhere without attracting a crowd
