From the 2025 Frostbite 30-40-50 back in February. Ski helmet and Wynd glasses for me.


It does get hot if I'm working hard. The vent on mine only lets through a bit of air.

I'll post a picture of my snowboarding helmet. I rarely need it. It's not too heavy. It's very warm, and it also blocks out a lot of sound, as it goes over the ears. I got it for winter cycling when I had a 13-mile commute each way and I was in a lot of pain on the waterfront.

Yup, that is my commuting route, the Hudson River Greenway. I feel very lucky to have it. I used to take it northward from W 10 St up to the northern end of Manhattan and continue into the Bronx. Now I take it southward a short distance and then cross over to the Brooklyn Bridge. My new job is a couple of blocks from the bridge.
