It's not noticeably heavier than a cycling helmet. Covers the ears and back of the head, as well as coming down a bit lower on the brow.
Here's me in it early this year:
From the 2025 Frostbite 30-40-50 back in February. Ski helmet and Wynd glasses for me.
It does get hot if I'm working hard. The vent on mine only lets through a bit of air.

I'll post a picture of my snowboarding helmet. I rarely need it. It's not too heavy. It's very warm, and it also blocks out a lot of sound, as it goes over the ears. I got it for winter cycling when I had a 13-mile commute each way and I was in a lot of pain on the waterfront.
