Okay, it can snow now...

...UPS brought my Nokian Hakkapeliitta W106s today. The weatherman is calling for snow Thursday night and Friday. Prolly not enough to make mounting the Nokians worthwhile, except possibly just to seat the studs.

Anyway, many thanks to those on the forum who have recommended them. They look like a really fine tire. And hell, I wouldn't even have thought they made such a thing had I not read about them here.

Yeah but that big snowstorm in Buffalo last week missed here by 20 miles. I wasn't sure whether to be pissed or relieved. (Well, since then, I'm relieved since many people there are still without power.)

OK tsl, I couldn't be left out. Two 106-35 Nokians on the way for me too.

Picking mine up tonight. Shopped around and found the best deal right here in town. 2 700c 35 106's for $80 + tax.

I'm going to blame it all on TSL if it doesn't snow this year.

I had a Peter White order put together and would have, too, but I had some confusion on the lights. I stumbled across this in the meantime (over the phone, these were $41.50 each):

https://www.benscycle.net/index.php?m...ath=70_165_183

They also have a good sale on MTB Nokians:

https://www.benscycle.net/index.php?m...roducts_id=474

This is the home of the Milwaukee Gunnar bike. A good shop by reputation.

I don't think you'll have to worry about that in your neck of the woods. They're calling for snow showers here Monday through Thursday next week. Still too warm so it won't stick, but October is a little early for a prediction of four days of snow.

Where abouts are you in the 'Dacks? I have a friend up in Malone.

Speedgoat.com. $50 each, free shipping on orders of $100 and over. Shipped via UPS ground the same day I ordered.

Me, I live in a very small town named Redford. It's about 14 miles west of Plattsburgh, NY. (I work in Plattsburgh) depending on the route you take. My property lays just outside ADK park thank god the APA can become a bit much at times.

I have skied at Titus mountain in Malone a few times before. I hate to say this but Malone is where my X girl friend lives.

Ordered a pair from Speedgoat also. Looks like we're going to start getting some cold rain/snow starting this week.
