Pogies
Had some polartec windblock material left, about a 1/2 yard, covered both brakes and shifter, pined them then sewed them up! rain proof, wind proof, left two openings in the back for my hands to fit in,all i wear now is glove liners, thats it! rode in 20deg so far and they are great!

So, who's going to post a "How To" using only string and the ratty fleece pull-over that you were going to use for car rags anyway?

Some old polar fleece with a nylon cover for wind resistance would be ideal. I know the Iditabike guys almost all use pogies. I've never had trouble keeping my hands warm and I rarely have to ride in temperatures below 15F. For me it's the feet that are the big problem.
