52) Going to see all the Christmas lights at night on the bike in the snow. With the digital camera. Then emailing the pictures to people who think it's too cold outside.
51) riding on lakes. Then emailing pictures to.......
50) all the swamps and some beaches get hard enough to go right over.
49) (my favorite) Riding in and out of the ice skaters on the public ice rink on your mtb with studs.
48) all the foliage is gone on the tight hiking trails making them easy riding, and making trail trimming easy too.
47) finding out that there is a winter riding forum, with some one who actually understands what the heck I'm talking about! wow!
46) remembering that last spring I actually missed riding in the snow and ice.
45) early sunset helps me rationalize putting a Lupine Edison 10 on my credit card a month before Christmas.
44) realizing that with the studded tires and about 25 psi I can ride over deep frozen footprints in ice I can hardly walk over.

-29 Maintaining fitness for the ski season in which you now get to go two times a year.
-28 Maintain your feeling of adventure in the over developed civilized world.
-27 Ride your 25 dollar surplus geek bike with the fenders, lights and rack and not feel at all stupid.
-26 Riding in a snow storm at night with bike lights is more fun than LSD.
-25 Feel less guilty about those holiday snack binges.
-24 Another good rediculus excuse to be outside.
-23 Improve your cold weather bike maintenance skills.
-22 Get out of the house when the spouse needs the themostat set too high.
-21 See how good those mountain bike tires really do grip.
-20 Helps you appreciate those who have to ride for reasons other than choice.
-19 Somehow winter doesn't feel so cold with the metabolism reving up a little.
-18 A good method for balancing out how many "honey-do's" you have to do. ("I'd love to do that right now dear, but you know I've got to keep my heath up to avoid the doctor").
-17 Because if you go back in time far enough you would find that some of us are related to the abominable snow man. It's just in the genes.
-16 Because the house seems very small in the winter.
-15 A good way to unwind from the holidays.
-14 Ride off those feelings of anger from charging up your credit cards for all those holiday gifts. (Hopefully, a few were for your bike).
