They have a nose cover and the foam covers your cheeks and forehead.
The anti fog sounds like it is pretty good as well.

I've found that a sports headband around your nose works wonders in keeping cold air from sliding past full wrap sunglasses.

nope, I wear glasses and they fit fine over those too. They have vents on the side

I got a pair of Scott goggles this winter and I love them. They make riding in the cold 100% more comfortable.

I have a set of clear Scott and purple tint Dragon glasses that I switch off between. I also have a fold up pair of googles (can twist any which way) I keep in my bag just in case.

I tried a bunch of stuff and wound up sticking with raquetball glasses without a strap. I took them off at stops to keep them from fogging.

I use Visorgogs when the need rises for them. Cheap, good down to about 13f before they start fogging up. The only bad I have for them is the UV rays ruin the lens after about the third year. But they're so cheap that I don't mind buying them. When I do I order three at a time. That should last me a decade or so. Below the 13f threshold I switch to double lens ski goggle type that I got from labsafety.com which takes you to grainger.com. They have a good selection of inexpensive goggles. Anyway, I've worn those in minus 10 degree temps and they didn't fog up and kept my face comfortable in those conditions. With that done I now know that I can handle anything Mother Nature throws at me for my area of the country.

I use pyramex i-force goggles which the double lenses system prevent fog.

In cold weather i add a face cover to prevent fog furthermore.

To do that I use a cheap stair gripper made in plastic (5$-10$). I cut a square and cut a goggle shape in it. So i end up with a square with a hole shaped like goggles. I put this square on my face and my goggles above it. I use it when needed and remove it when not.
It's pretty similar to the face cover used in polar expedition.

That's what I use skiing. Works great.

For backcountry skiing, I use a helmet like this:

The vents can be closed with a slide on the outside of the helmet. Goggle strap fits exterior of helmet. Very comfortable and warm.

I use a pair of Arena Flakjaks. They work well with a helmet unlike any of the ski goggles I've bought, they fit pretty well over glasses, they pretty much do not fog at all, and apparently they can stop a shotgun blast at 35 feet (I don't plan on testing that though). And since they made tons of them, you can easily find them for around $20 instead of the $80 they are supposed to sell for.

This one is sewed directly to the goggle. Mine is just under it for temporary use and hold just by the pressure of the goggles on my face.

I started wearing safety glasses from mountain biking. It's saved my eyes several times from small branches and even gravel flung up by a rider in front of me. On the road, it's probably less of an issue, but I've been hit with enough crap from passing cars and other bikes that I keep wearing them. For long rides on bright days, it saves some eye fatigue too. Plus my mirror mounts to them.

Anyone know of a good mirror that can attach to snow goggles? It appears I left this out of the equation and didn't realise it until yesterday when I had nowhere to mount my eyeglass mirror on my goggles.


Bike mirror generally won't work because my legs are too big and obscure the field of view of a mirror attached to my drop handlebars

They look like they'll fit nicely in the mid-cold temp zone, before I really need to break out the ski goggles. I ordered mine in red.

those horseback riding glasses look like sky diving goggles, but when I tried sky diving goggles they just fogged up cuz they were sealed. but then I clicked on the cycling link and I see they are vented so maybe they wouldn't fog

This link looked good except when I went to the website and tried to order, I got some indefinite error about a credit card. After I tried a second time and got the same non specific error screen, I called their contact phone number. Nobody answered, so I left a message telling them their website order thing doesn't work.

I've order countless things from all kinds of websites and I've never be stopped cold like this.

Based on this experience, I will not try again to order from them. It's hard for me to believe I could count on them if there were problems with their product.

I was able to order mine through the site, although I did experience the same non-specific error message. It turned out I had missed a field entry, so after correcting that, I resubmitted without trouble and received an order confimation email a short time later. I have not received them yet, though.

But I do agree that their order system needs improvement. That he erroressages don't name the problem or otherwise identify it could frustrate a lot of people. I figured mine out, but it should have been easier.

Just placed an order as well, no error messages at all.... Ordered the 'over the eyeglasses' model, then realized there is a disclaimer :

* Please Note - OTE goggles do not fit

with most bicycle helmets *

??? Anyway, I don't think it should be problem, they don't appear to be THAT huge....

Exact same here: OTEs; disclaimer; don't look THAT huge...for $25 anyway, worth a try, and my OTG ski goggles, which must be bigger/taller than the Kroops, work ok, although they do require frequent adjustment because they're heavy and tend to slide down my nose, restricting breathing. The Kroops look considerably lighter, so I'm optimistic.

Okay, so I got the Kroops OTEs today, and they are *that* huge! Here's a pic:



Sure, I've got a smallish head, but these cover my whole forehead up to the hairline! Haha! They are light though! I suppose if you wore some Bootsy Collins-type specs these might be appropriate!



So, I picked up the phone and gave Kroops a call; a fellow there said these were designed in the '70s to fit the eyeglass styles of the period! He also that many people with eyeglasses successfully use the standard cycling goggle over their specs, and that I could send mine back for a quick swap out, which I think I'll do. He added that even if there is a little goggle/frame contact, the soft lens plastic won't do any damage to the eyeglasses.

Good folks there at Kroops, it seems. I'll report back on the fit of the standard goggles once they arrive.
