3d day in a row off the bike. But I did get in a strength session. So I've got that going for me, which is nice.

About 4.5 hours of riding with some team mates. Won some sprints, lost some sprints. Legs hurt/feel good.
Hit 1111w 5sec power (16 w/kg) 3.5 hours in to the ride, but I know I've done and can do better. This power thing is getting addicting again!

Fun shenanigans team ride.
Chased down a break for 2 miles. Ooof.
Saw 'Dirty Dave' off the front with a small gap abut 1 mile from a county line sprint. I rolled up to him and asked if he wanted a wheel to follow to the sprint. I knew that I'd have to jump hard to make it stick so I did. "Dirty" couldn't hold the wheel after a bit, but by then the gap was enormous so I slowed down and let him latch back on and then slowly eased the gas pedal down.
The next town sprint wasn't that far away so I worked for him to take the double.
Lots of fun.

Long 2.5 hours. Lots of headwinds, some quite steep climbs. Standard double on the new bike was probably a bad idea. Thinking I might buy a compact, or trade my BB30 compact for someone's GXP compact.
Also had to make my rear brake super duper tight to keep the loose rear axle from making the tire rub into the super duper tight seat stay tolerance.

2 hours in 40 degree rain with 20 mph winds and a puky belly. Strangely satisfying.

Finally got to ride, but it was too short.
[on edit]
Looks like I am KOM of a .6 mile, pool-table-flat strava segment. (Or should this go in the Confessions Thread?)

Yesterday: 48 miles of rolling terrain in a mild drizzle with a few decent new-to-me hills, a few new Strava KOMs. Felt good. Bikescore 201.

A welcome day off the bike. I watched the Boston Marathon and cheered on the runners. It was a hot one for them.

Y'all blew me up! I didn't eat/bring enough food (as usual). I warmed up for a bit before the meetup, and I was out of snacks by the time we rolled out, so I was really trying to conserve. I finally felt OK after a cane sugar soda in Hawthorne, but I'm out of shape and yesterday was supposed to be endurance only, no sprints or attacks. Fun day hangin' out in the back.
And it was fun helping Dirty get some team ride glory.
And toe-in those rear brake pads. Jeez it was loud every time you touched the rear brake.
My idea of fun

I ate a bunch of crap the past few days, and did a bunch of diving. A bunch of students got seasick and painted the side of the boat. I hit the gym this morning, and will run after work.

I was going to do an easy ride today, but instead I came home come and my alcoholic SIL was passed out on my living room couch and the vodka bottle in the liquor cabinet was drained. How much TSS for this kind of crap?
Making a kilometer blurry
First ride in a week, did a loop with two nasty up-to-20% climbs. Lunch ride partner tore me a new one. My legs finally gave out on a roller near the end of the ride and I couldn't hold his wheel. Ironic that I hold the Strava KOM on that climb, and couldn't hold this guy's wheel up it today.
<EDIT> ffs, had the wrong strava link </EDIT>
There's nothing like an addict family member. Poisons everything. I grew up with one in the house. Sucks.

Sprint workout today. None of them felt particularly good, but after analyzing the data it turns out I just don't know when sprints feel good. Best numbers of the season, and my best 30min NP for the workout was 112% of FTP.

My last day off was April 6th. Tomorrow is my next. My HR would not budge above 130rpm today. Bad sign. Gotta listen to your body.

Today - 1 hr super ez - slept like crap last night (and felt pretty bad even though just an ez ride) after being made aware of a horrible occurrance on my collegiate team. I'm hoping I can sleep better tonight.
