Thanks everyone.
Two down, one to go.
TT: We caught and passed everyone. Some talent in the field including a former US road champ and an Olympian. Certainly not the slickest rig but we rode hard.
RR: Today was devoted to trying to help teammates; with a jersey and medal in hand I wanted to see someone else get a shot. Race was kinda lame...20km + of descending to start. I'd attack and guys would not work or not work very hard in the break so we'd get brought back. Did get one solid break going. The thing that kept going through my mind was "don't these guys know that there's a few guys that'll drop everyone on the climb?" And this was what happened.
Was OTF for most of the race and the efforts and yesterday's TT caught up to me at the 20k mark and I folded my cards. Didn't do much good, our guys got dropped on the final climb. See above.
Resting now and looking forward to the crit. Punchers chance for that.

congrats on the stars & stripes Ex, you guys smoked it. the guys who came in 2nd include a dude that's been throwing down 50' flat 40Ks in my area for the past couple of years and Bobby "the baltimore bullet" Phillips. Although Bobby's a good ways past his prime, he's legit pedigree, and the "racer emeritus" of my team. nice job in the RR too. good luck in the crit!

Yep, Racer Ex still looked happy this morning.
Me? Once we got above 5K ft, I started experiencing the breathing through a straw thing. Managed to pass a few other stragglers on the final climb and finished with a few other guys. Two down, one to go (at a lower elevation).

I think we're going to attack out of the parking lot tommorow. Better to burn out than fade away.

6th, Mixed 90+ Tandem RR, aka DFL.
The mixed and mens field raced together, which pretty much eliminated any hope we had of trying to get off the front. Did attack on the descent, got a little seperation, but not enough to stay away.
Failing that, we tried to help drive the pace on the descent, hoping to drop a couple of smaller teams. That actually worked, but not well enough that we didn't get caught and dropped on the climb.
