I crashed... cross bike, overcooked a sharp turn on an off camber gravel descent and washed out. I had floated a bit on the previous two turns and finally just lost it. The only way to know where the edge of the envelope is, is to cross over it, I guess. Shredded my forearm pretty good, gravelly road rash on hip and shin. No broken bones or broken bike parts.
I ride the cross bike a bunch on gravel carriage roads with some singletrack mixed in. I like a big tire but I need something with more bite than the Kenda Happy Mediums I've been running. Any recommendations for a relatively fast but not file-tread cross tire that comes in the 36-40c range?

Huh, I didn't know they notified you if your results were clear. That's cool. Does he write "the man who finally got Lance" after his name as part of his signature?

Truth. If I have something recorded to watch later, it's work sites only for me.

I watched the Bahati youtube video of the recent Crit and then looked him up, seems like he is a pro Crit racer, if that is even a full time job. Could someone with that skill set race in the tours in Europe or is his endurance/power only good for an hour and not for a week long, 700 mile race?

Not sure who that is - is it because I ask these types of questions unironically?

Conti makes the Cyclo X-King in a 42. Gonna try that out!
(I race on Michelin Mud 32s, but most of my cross riding is on carriage roads / fire roads / singletrack where bigger is most definitely better.)

Is it really so long ago that Bahati was a household name* in domestic crit racing? Anyway, the demands of crit racing are not the same as Euro road and stage racing, but that doesn't mean there aren't guys who can be good at both. Generally not in the same season, though.

The guys who are winning 5 hour pro races in america seem to be guys who are winning 5 hour pro races in Europe.

Wow, I just looked up pro salary ranges and it's pretty much just above the poverty line. I know they do it because they love it, but that's some serious dedication.
