Suggestions for non-Campy crank to work with Campy 11-speed
I want to use Potenza derailleurs/shifters and Campy wheels with a non-Campy crankset as I don't want to use Power or Ultra Torque cranks. The bottom bracket is BB86 PF. I'd like some suggestions for cranks/chainrings that won't compromise shifting, nor that will break my bank (<$300).

Anything intended for 11 speed will obviously work. Likewise, I can't see why most 10 speed cranks wouldn't either. Any particular style you are going for? Retro, carbon, etc.? What chainring sizes do you need?

Carbon is OK if I can find something on sale as I don't want to spend over $300 for it. I really don't want any Shimano cranks, either. I'd prefer a 52/36 but suppose I could live with a 53/39 if the price was right. 170mm crank arm length. I don't want something too cheap and heavy, either. I'm also open to chain suggestions. I prefer Campy Ergo system but I don't want Ultra or Power Torque because I want to use a press-fit bottom bracket that screws together from Wheels Manufacturing to eliminate any potential for creaking (Campy seems to have this problem from what I can gather). But these are only available for 24/22mm cranks which eliminates Campy.

In the front 'speeds' is about chain width any brand saying 10 -11 "speed" will do , if the chainline comes out right..
Can you go to a Bike Shop ?... they can see your bike in person.

Check out what FSA has to offer: FSA Road - FSA
They use the same crank spindle style as Shimano so you should have plenty of BB options.

Right now I'm leaning toward a SRAM Force 22. They can be had on sale for $200-225.

I have an Origin 8 compact crank with square tapered bottom bracket that I paired with Potenza shifters, rear derailleur and front derailleur. Works like a charm. I suspect any crank set that is 10 or 11 speed compatible will work for you.
I have had good luck with Ultra Torque crank sets, no creaking. Probably close to 40,000 miles with no problems. I have used them in steel and titanium frames. Maybe it is the frame material that is the problem.

You have to use separate spindle adapters to fit Shimano or SRAM cranksets in this model.
So, you can use any crankset with a 30 mm spindle. Lots of options.

But my frame is PF86. I haven't seen any bottom brackets that screw or fit together that allow 30mm spindles in PF86, only cups, which is what Campy offers for Ultra and Power Torque, which I'm trying to avoid. Or am I missing something, I am getting old?

Which type of bottom bracket? I believe the OP's concern is with using Campy's OS-Fit BB cups, not their threaded ones.

Exactly. If my bottom bracket was threaded there would be no need for discussion. I have two mates who are both experiencing some creaking with Campy cups (one bike is CF and the other is AL) despite the best efforts of a crack Campy mechanic. One is considering a BBInfinite BB for Ultra Torque (but it's $150) that would likely do the trick. I want to avoid creaking and paying $150 for a BB.

Best of luck with the search. You probably can't go wrong with SRAM Force 22, if you can find a good price.
