Chris King R45 ISO Rear Disc Hub

I'm looking to buy a Chris King R45 Rear Disc Hub & buy a axle conversion kit so as it can run 12mm x 142mm, my question is would this survive on my mountain bike ? I use it for work etc nothing to much like 20 ft drops etc as I'm finding it hard to find a hub that has 24 hole spoke & maybe I can convert the axle to 12 mm x 142 mm.
Any help or advice greatly appreciated

Pretty confident they don't make a 12 * 142 axle for the R45. That would just encourage people to... you know, do what you're suggesting.

You'll be able to find a 24 (or 48) hole disc hub somewhere, or lace up a 36. Or get a 32 hole rim! You could get about 10 decent rims for the price of your King hub.

Not sure why you have to stick with 24 hole rims, that is a pretty rare option in the mountain bike world anyways.

If you are mostly using this for commuting, there are much cheaper ways to get a very good wheel but at the very least you can get a much cheaper hub through Velocity here Velocity Wheels

ask the Mfgr? R45 Disc | Chris King Precision Components why not just buy what you want new rather than bodge ?

& go 32 hole .. if you are a Thrashing MTB Rider. so your replacement rims over time will be easy to find.

Chris King is launching a new 142x12 axle for the R45D by the end of the summer.
