new to the forum
I am new to the forum, but I have read a lot of the questions & answers and am hope full you can help me. I have a redline I am tring to rebuild. The crank is the problem. I can't get it apart.
there is no spanner nut. It is all pressed together. I cannot even get the spindle out. I have a photo attatched, I think.

before you really start to whack the spindle, some of them are tapered or have a "washer" on the drive side try hitting it form the non drive side also try a little wd-40 or something else like it, then when you get that out if you dont have a bearing press your gonna have to beat the bearings out, either be careful or if your replaceing them anyways just beat the hell out of em just to hit the fame too much

I got it. used an old screw drive handle as a pad. 1 of the "sealed bearing" came out with the spline. So, I would guess, The bearing will have to be pressed onto the spline and 1 pressed into the bb. then the spline and bearing into the other bearing and bb.

your probably gonna want another BB the spindle is supposed to be a tolerance fit (able to slide right in and out) i would guess if your spindle was stuck in the bearings that the bearings are not in the best shape you can usually find a new BB for less than 30bucks
