SR frame with shimano 600

I am going around 8pm to pick up this frame - worth it just for the 600 components:

anyone know about this frame? I don't know much about SR really.

ghah. that was stupid of me. anyway, ill probably give him $20 and have some parts. if the frame looks ok I might do something with it. I have a set of fixie wheels about and it could just work. btw, the ironman you sold me is nearly done. i just need to get some cables;

Would you post a close-up picture showing where the seat stays are brazed to the seat tube? Like this:

I briefly owned an SR Semi-Pro. Came outfitted with Shimano 600 Arabesque components. I can't recall if it had any indication of the steel type. I ended up selling it as I had too many other projects going on at the time. The ride wasn't notably bad or good. Seemed like a solid bike. I recently had the opportunity to pick up a second Semi-pro thinking perhaps I would abscond with the 600 groupset for another project. Seller was asking a $140. It might have been the ugliest paint scheme I have ever seen. It was a drab tan and brown. It was pretty awful looking. Fortunately for my case of N+1, the seller also had something much shinier that was well worth the visit, so the SR stayed behind. Anyway, that pretty much sums up my brief experiences with SR bicycles (both Semi-Pro models). Not sure that helps a whole lot.

Considering the rough shape and that it is a nothing special off brand Japanese frame worth the price if some of the components are good worth about the asking price but not much more.

yeah, no great deal on this but from the parts- the frame is pretty sub-par and for some reason was given pretty decent components - that is not to say that some SR frames are no good. but this one is not one of those. I got two drop bars and two decent quills out of the deal- so no complaints - but the frame is pretty much trash. i'd certainly give it to anyone who might want it.

spiders are good- they don't bite people--- they kill the bugs that bite people. very misunderstood.

Ok, sometimes they bite people. but sometimes people deserve it.
