I think this isn't PX 10 because the Lug is not Nervex lugs.

so what is serie of bike in pic ?

I see chrome stays, derailer hanger, and Reynolds 531. Therefore I will say that it COULD be a PX-10, but I can't guarantee it because I don't know enough about Peugeot.

If I'm not mistaken they stopped using the Nervex lugs all together around the early-mid 70s. So that doesn't say one way or the other.

Not all PX bikes had Nervex, if I recall correctly. I see a Reynolds 531 sticker, forged dropouts and chrome socks on the fork and stays, so it is a quality bike. Most likely some PX variant, but I am not an expert on these so I'll let someone else tell you more.

You can go to retropeugeot.com and select the 1975 catalog French edition and take a look. The model pictured shows 5-6 variants, but I think the seller is reasonably close. The crankset is different, but I don't know the variants on the Stronglights.

The 531 sticker is main tubes only. The lugs and equipment identify it as a probable PR 10. Nice bike, pretty much the same geometry as a PX 10 just slightly heavier due to the Peugeot brand tubing in the forks and stays.

+1..... Full 531 frame and forks will have the "531" on the Reynolds decal going at an angle and not straight across like in the pics and the word "forches" (forks) will be mentioned on the decal too.
the frame should still provide the legendary classic Peugeot quality ride and should weigh only slightly heavier than the full 531 framesets.

I don't think PX10s had water bottle mounts like this bike does, until the late 70's or early 90's, when they starting calling them PXN10s.

Initially, I thought so too. Then I saw the distinctive lugs used on the PA/PR series and thought PR 60 due to the 3 tube Reynolds and the fenders. However, the PR 60 should have a tab or slotted braze-on on the non-drive seat stay about half way up to accommodate a Soubitez generator. I couldn't see such a thing on the photos provided nor could I see evidence of the internal wiring drilling for the lights at the bottom bracket and the head lug. Consequently, I am guessing it is probably a dressed up PR 10.

It is not a PX10. The fork is not a PX10 531 fork. The rear stays are not chromed, nor are they otherwise consistent with PX 10's. I think this is a model from the early 80's or very late 70's, perhaps a PR or PN series bike.

Not a PX10 for sure. Maybe a PR10 (3 tubes Reynolds).

My thought is that its a 60-series (touring) model due to the fenders and internal wiring. I don't see evidence of a generator tab but the wiring is there....

Nice call on the wiring. What's weird is Peugeot typically ran the wiring outside the stay not inside. The lack of the factory braze on generator tab and what looks like non-factory drilled bottle mounts still lead me to think PR 10 but possibly PR 60 since PR 60s did get the chromed rear stays. Either way, a nice bike.

Is it possible to drill bottle mounts in a butted 531 tube? I understand the wall thickness in the middle of these tube is <1mm, too thin to tap threads. I would think you would have to braze on 2 metal tabs before drilling, to get enough thickness for the threads. And brazing would require removing the paint first, at least in the vinicity of the brazing.

I don't know I'm just asking...

It is possible but it is really unwise. I've seen drilling in hi-tensile frames that held up short term but never in 531 or SL. The PR frame above has plain gauge 531 which probably has walls around .9mm, still too thin to drill without brazing on reinforcements like typical steel frames. When you see bottle cages snugged down tight to a frame tube your first reaction should be, "Hmmmmmmmm", followed by a close examination and a good, long think.

That bike is a PR60 with a broken dynamo braze-on.

I reviewed the photo of the bike, and it seems that the rear stays are chromed, so I take that back. I stand by my other comments. It all comes down to whether or not the rear stays are 531 (the chroming makes me think they are, but there are other ways to tell. The fork, however, is another matter and doesn't seem to be a typical 531/PX10 fork.
