Sekai 4000 and assorted parts build value

Any idea what this bike is worth or what the major parts are worth? I'm only interested in the frame/fork, so I'd be looking at parting out almost the entire thing.

Thanks in advance.

Edit: this is a later version Sekai 4000, not the criterium series.

For that kind of coin you need better pictures and details of what all of the components are to evaluate. Especially since its a home built.

Yes, I think the asking price is very optimistic. The parts don't seem to be especially valuable either.

F/F maybe $100. The frame is Tange Champion 2 and is light. However, I don't think the Sekai should be valued higher than a Centurion Ironman. I'd estimate FMV at $250 +/- as shown.

A buyer of a mixte traded her Sekai 4000 below, a well used and battle scarred bike, currently 90% stripped of paint.

$600 & local pick up only? You got to be kidding me. For $600 that should at least include free shipping & handling.

The price is just way too high this basically a $200-250 bike including shipping. As for the parts you can't tell from the description and pics what the most valuable ones the crankset and DR's are. They look to be Suntour and Sugino not Campy as described, the shifter's are lesser Suntour, so not a tone of value on resale so not a tone of value on resale really only $150 or so for everything.

...I have one of these that I restored as a rider. It still has the original components. I'd love to be able to sell mine for 6 hunnert bucks, but I think maybe that's not realistic. Curious as to why you'd want to buy just the frame ? It's a fine rider in the tradition of Japan made bikes using Tange or Champion tubing in the early 80's, but other than that is unremarkable.

IOW, at the time it was specced, imported, and sold, it was a pretty solid deal for a decent Crit bike. But for that price these days there is a lot of stuff hanging around on the local Craigslist. 600 bucks buys a lot here in the sf bay area, and we're supposed to be pricey.

Weird ad. The S says he built the bike back in 1981 but doesn't list all the parts.

Agree with others that the pics are insufficient particularly given the price. There is no clear drive side pic and condition is difficult to tell.

Given the quality of the parts and frame, I think it is potentially worth more than $200-$250 but certainly closer to that range than the asking price of 600 clams.
