Kestrel 4000 with C-Record
I have had this bike for a bit. Unfortunately something is loose in the bottom bracket and I only use it to cruise around town. I dont think my crank set is C-Record, not sure what it is. The seat, grip and tires were replaced by me but everything else came on the bike when I purchased it. Id like to learn a little more about the bike, components and what it is worth.
Thanks!
Edit- It looks like the crank assembly is super record. The bike was in a crash I assume and had some mismatching.

The crank indeed looks like Super Record and there are several reasons why it could be there, I think a crash that damaged the cranks bad enough to warrant replacement would have totaled the frame.
The components would sell for good money on ebay, the brakes likely 200 or so for the calipers alone.
If the bottom bracket issue is noticeable when riding unless you fix it the bike as whole is almost worthless. If I were to test ride this and noticed an issue with a Super Record BB (assuming it is SR and not the C-Record which would be a serious issue too) would want a $200 discount off your asking price. A SR BB would set me back $80-100+ and then there is the hassle of finding and replacing it.

Given that you believe it was crashed...there are BB issues...and there is no particular reason to keep the parts with this frame...part it out...generally, you maximize your profitability with parting it out, though it is more work.

I'd not buy a vintage (or any) carbon frame for which I'd been told there was a crash in its history. I'd say part it out and hope for the best with the frame.

Just because the crank was replaced (maybe) does not mean it was in a crash, I have changed out cranks because of looks and simple preference more than once. OR, the owner sold the C-Record crank and put on an old one that they had for a quick profit, I've done that too.
IMO, especially when I worked in a shop, all parts were changeable, based on mood, finance and purpose. Only the frames stayed the same.
